Moulamein is claimed to be the oldest town in the
Riverina. It is believed the Edward River was so named by Edward Green a local landholder.
The
word "moulamein" is aboriginal for "the meeting of two rivers." The Billabong Creek and Edward River
meet to form a junction. Excellent for great fishing.
